Downloaded the app this afternoon and really like the idea. Couple notes that I hope will help adoption:
1) I and some friends downloaded, but no notice showed in our News Feeds.
2) Would like an easy way to invite other/multiple friends to download.
Congrats on the launch of your new app. I was wondering when someone would properly integrate multiple-IM client functionality into Facebook. Like peanut butter and chocolate, it seemed like an inevitable pairing.

@pstrohl: we just added a way to invite friends from the client. update to the latest version from our server and you should see a "click to invite" next to every friend who hasn't installed yet!

@yanda: Thanks, just downloaded the new client and like the new invite feature! Would be helpful to have a checkbox list of all my friends so I can send invites to multiples at the same time (rather than 1 by 1). Possible?
